New Life Church began with the vision and prayer of Pastor B.E. Stanley to shepherd a multicultural, multigenerational apostolic church. God led the Stanley’s from Louisiana to Dallas East United Pentecostal Church in May of 1974, where they assumed pastorate with 28 voting members. The name of the church was changed to New Life Tabernacle and the church quickly outgrew the small A-Frame building they were meeting in. A building expansion was completed in 1988, providing much needed classrooms, offices, and a new auditorium.
In this new building, New Life Tabernacle continued to expand, reflecting the burden of Bro. and Sis. Stanley to have an international congregation of men and women trained for ministry. Throughout the years, countless men and women have answered the call of God on their life and been sent out as Pastors, Ministers, Missionaries, and Worship Leaders. Today, over 26 active ministries reflect the mission of New Life to reach our city.
New Life has a rich history of lives being changed as people have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and baptism in Jesus’ name. God has revealed Himself mightily to New Life through miracles and answered prayers. We’ve seen God heal the sick, deliver the addicted, and even raise a man back to life. God has shown Himself faithful through the prayers, faith, and obedience of the church people.
The next chapter of our story began in January 2011, at Because Of The Times (BOTT) conference, in Alexandria, LA. With over 35 years of labor put into New Life Tabernacle, Pastor Stanley had thought to leave the burden of further expansion to his successor. However, God spoke to him at that conference through a prayer cloth. Out of the three thousand cloths that were handed out, his said:
“For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place;
but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
Pastor Stanley’s burden was renewed and his mission clear: to continue the work that God had begun. He was convinced that the prophetic words of revival that have been spoken over New Life throughout the years were beginning to come to pass. Plans were drawn up to construct a brand new facility at a new location; however, God opened the door for us to purchase a significantly larger facility with highway frontage along Interstate 30. A remodel of this facility was completed in the summer of 2014, just in time for the 40th pastoral anniversary of Bro. and Sis. Stanley. It was at this time that the name was simplified to New Life Church.
As great as the story of New Life Church is, we believe that it is just the beginning. The best is yet to come. We are excited about what God is doing in our church and in our city. We hope that you would be part of our history and our lives by joining us in service. We look forward to meeting you!
